A tool in this case is a technical piece of kit used to extend the ability of an individual, to modify features and behaviour of their surroundings.
This taster tool box is for “demonstration purpose only” to give you a flavour what is possible to learn about your hearing loss. (I have given examples of typical different types of hearing loss and examples of my hearing loss)
The purpose of the toolbox is to provide you with all the relevant holistic tools to assist you and help others in your daily life with hearing impairment.
This toolbox will also have quite a comprehensive range of tools for you to work your way through for example; –
A DASHBOARD
- To Know Your Hearing Loss will illuminate this advance software package, to personalize your left & right hearing loss via password protection, unaided and aided, (via an online audiometer) this will really express what you can and can’t hear, for you to demonstrate to others.
- Educational and advisory materials, sound-effect samples in different environment, Such as Auditoriums, Cathedrals, lecture-theatres, restaurants etc. assistive devices and loop systems and where to seek help.
- Are You Receiving Me? A paper written by a retired MRCGP & Homeopath Doctor
- I am Who I am An introductory box which has a badge and instruction card to inform others how to communicate with those with hearing loss (optional)
The above material to put on the software is still under construction hope for completion beginning of February 2021.
My idea is to have other contributors to the dashboard, who are experienced in this field to add to this list.
I hope this demonstrator website will prove to be an interesting revealing Journey.
